Corner Brook Citadel, 36 Clarence St. Cost $10.00/Adult, $8.00/Children under 12. Breakfast includes toutons, bologna, baked beans, eggs, toast, tea/coffee, juice.

Annual Winter Carnival Craft and Gift Expo
Corner Brook Civic Centre (Top Box Entrance). Cost $2.00 with Carnival Button, $3.00 without. With over 75 vendors featuring all locally hand-made items, clothing, hand-made winter toques, many local business products, artwork, and, of course, baked goodies. There will be a FREE fun scavenger hunt for kids, a decorate a cookie station, and a pop-up photo booth. It’s a great way to spend your Saturday exploring our community of beautiful displays, having a bite to eat with a coffee and socializing with a friendly neighbor. We have over $500 dollars in door prizes. This event is also in support of NL West SPCA and the Scaredy Cat Rescue group.

Village Music’s Winter Carnival Open Jam
Village Music, 88 Broadway. Free Admission. Village Music’s Winter Carnival Open Jam – Open to all ages and all genres of music. Bring your own instrument, whether it be a guitar, ukulele, accordion, or your voice! Starts at 12 p.m. till 5 p.m.

Cupcake Decorating for Kids @ Hew & Draw Lobby
Children of all ages are welcome to join us in the Hew & Draw Lobby to decorate a freshly baked cupcake from Best Coast Restaurant. Cupcakes, icing and toppings provided. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. 1-4pm, $10 per child. Last year this event sold out super fast so we are adding more cupcakes and time slots! 15 slots available every half hour starting at 1pm. Please call (709) 388-3300 to register. Walk-ins welcome but registered children will be guaranteed a spot!

Corner Brook Disc Golf Charity Ice Bowl
Corner Brook Disc Golf Course, Mayfair Ave. Try Disc Gold for free (equipment provided) or enter a casual tournament for $20. Disc gold clubs around the world host winter charity tournaments called Ice Bowls. Join us at the Corner Brook Disc Golf Course (Park at the Atlantic Soccer Pitch) for a fun tournament in possibly the world’s snowiest Ice Bowl. Proceeds to the Food Bank. Kintucky Derby
Blomidon Golf and Country Club, West Valley Road. Cost $10.00. Join the Kinsmen Club of Corner Brook for a fun night of games of chance and Horse Races with the last race being Owner’s Race. The event features a series of races where horses advance to the finish line on a giant floor board determined by a wheel of chance. Six betting windows operated with a computer-odds making system. Doors open at 7:00 pm first race at 8:00 pm. Hosted by a celebrity track announcer. Special Sponsors BayFM, and Molson Coors. 19+ event. Contact Don @632-0330.

BayFM presents The Mixed Tapes
The Palace, Broadway. Cost $20.00 in advance, $25.00 at the door. Hit the dance floor with the first beat of The Mixed Tapes and dance the night away. This popular band has been a Carnival favorite for many years. Advanced tickets are available at Carnival Office and Village Music.

The Catch @ Retro
Retro, 86 West Street. Cost $20.00 in Advance or $25.00 at the door. Back at the arcade for another great night of music and dancing.
