Winter Carnival Scarf Pattern

You will need 4 Colors of yarn: White, Bright Red, Forest Green and Royal or Cobalt Blue

With 5.5mm Needles, white yarn cast on 26 stitches, knit back and forth (Garter Stitch) until 2 Ribs are on right side of work. Next use forest green or 14 ribs… see chart…

Follow chart for remainder of scarf… number of Rib Rows are written in Scarf diagram. Cast Off.

For Each Tassels: Cut 12 pieces of blue wool (10” in length for each strand)

Make TEN tassels, 5 for each end. Distribute them evenly on end of scarf.

Winter Carnival Hat Pattern

1Yarn Colors: White, Bright Red, Forest Green and Royal or Cobalt Blue

Set of 4: 5.5mm Needles, or short 6mm circular needle.

With Forest Green cast on 76 stitches, knit 1 purl 1, repeat for 20 rows

KNIT one row extra with forest green.

Continue knitting with White for 28 rows,

2 Rows of White

3 Rows of Red

2 Rows of White

3 Rows of Red

14 Rows of White. NO Decreasing. Cast of 76 stitches, sew hat together in rectangle shape. Make two Blue Pom Poms and attached in photo.

Leave a 2 to 3 inch piece of yarn at both ends on the inside, and one in middle. Then you have to tie three strands together. (See 2nd Photo below)
